Mark Winkelman is owner of the Pajama Factory, the 300,000-square-foot, eight-building historic industrial complex in Williamsport, Pennsylvania that he and his wife Suzanne purchased in 2007 and have transformed into a thriving, inclusive creative community. A New York City architect by training who knows every square inch of the 150-year-old complex, he has filled the former Weldon Pajama factory with roughly 150 tenants - artists' studios, workshops, small businesses, galleries, a coffee shop, and residences - while steadily restoring the buildings. His vision: a model Creative Community that energizes small cities and towns through the arts.
